Simple exercises you can do for free
Sometimes when planning your exercise program you find yourself looking at the cost of a gym membership, or that home workout machine, and balking. Times are tight these days, and while the fancy equipment or gym membership might be out of reach, your fitness is not.
It’s not that hard to put together a free exercise program that can help you get in shape, or stay that way, without having to spend a penny. Granted, most of it is stuff you’ve probably done, or things you’ve written off, but the truth is you can get a lot more mileage out of the basics than you might think.
One part of a free exercise program should be push-ups. The real power in the push-up is in all the variations that can be done with them. They’re a general all around upper body exercise to start with. By adjusting the position of your hands, or your feet, or the angle you’re doing them at, you can target different specific muscle groups for better results. In general, a “standard” push up with feet together and toes curled as your lower support, you’ll be moving roughly 60% of your body weight. If you’re a big guy like I am, this can be a pretty large number. Even a “girlie” push-up, using your knees as your lower support, will have you moving about 30-35% of your weight. The push-up is basically always going to be able to give you some kind of challenge; no matter how fit you are, with the right adjustments.
Lunges and squats should also be part of your free exercise program. Like the push-up, the fact that these exercises use your own body mass for resistance allows you to benefit from doing them no matter your shape. If you have a hard time going all the way down in a lunge or squat, don’t hurt yourself. You can stop where you feel comfortable and benefit from the part of the motion you can do. In time it will be easier and you’ll be going lower in your reps without even thinking about it.
Everybody wants 6 pack abs, and while sit ups alone will not give them to you, they’re a good addition to a free exercise program. You’re going to need to burn the fat off before the abs come out, no matter how ripped they are. But, there are definite benefits to strong healthy abs even if they can’t be seen yet. For one, your abdominals in unison can be a very powerful metabolism booster. Your abdominal muscles also help support your weight when you sit or stand, so strong abs can reduce back pain. Traditional sit-ups or crunches can be mixed with inverted and sideways variations to target all of the abdominal muscles you want to.
All of these exercises will keep your muscles working and growing, but you’re going to need to do some cardio. Some suggestions for cardio training in a free exercise program might be jogging, or walking, or even jumping jacks.

Living A Carbon Neutral Lifestyle
As we are becoming increasingly aware of the carbon footprint we leave everyday living our modern lives, we are looking for ways to help reduce or eliminate it all together.
Green Web Hosting refers to those web hosting companies that make efforts to reduce their carbon footprint, or even to become completely carbon neutral.
This benefits you because you can continue to offer your website to the world without leaving a negative carbon footprint.
For an average year of hosting your website a non-green web hosting company will help emit 19,890 lbs of Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere.
By 2020 the amount of servers used to host web sites is projected to increase four fold. As a result they are expected to surpass the airline industry as a source of Carbon emitters.
This is a reality of the world we live, the power needed to run the servers traditionally comes from unclean methods.
